Straight down the A217
Gatwick is about 21 miles south of Morden. The usual route follows the A217 through Rosehill and Sutton, down to the M25, then onto the M23. It usually takes 40 to 55 minutes, a little longer on Friday afternoons and at the start of school holidays.
Because the route heads away from central London, Gatwick is often as quick to reach as Heathrow from Morden, and quicker from the southern parts of our area like Sutton, Cheam and Carshalton.
Car or train?
There are trains towards Gatwick from nearby stations, but from Morden they usually involve a change, and with suitcases that's hard work, especially before dawn. A car picks you up at home and drops you at the departures door. For two or more travellers, it often compares well on price too.
North Terminal or South Terminal
Gatwick has two terminals, linked by a free shuttle train. Airlines are split between them, so check your booking and tell us which one you need. If you end up at the wrong one, the shuttle only takes a few minutes, but that's time you won't want to lose.
Early flights
Many Gatwick holiday flights leave early in the morning. We run 24/7, but please book pickups before 5am at least the evening before, so we can confirm your driver.
When you land
Share your flight number, and your driver will meet you in the arrivals area of the correct terminal with a name board. Gatwick charges vehicles to drop off at the terminal forecourts, so ask us how this is handled in your fare.
