Life around the crossroads
North Cheam is centred on the crossroads where the A24 London Road meets Malden Road and Cheam Common Road. Around it are supermarkets, local shops and takeaways, with 1930s homes spreading out towards Worcester Park, Cheam and Stoneleigh. The A24 runs straight up to Morden, so for us it's usually a ten-minute drive.
No station of its own
North Cheam doesn't have a railway station. The nearest are Worcester Park, Cheam, Stoneleigh and Sutton, and none is really close enough to walk to comfortably with bags. Short station runs are one of our most common bookings here, along with trips to Morden for the Northern line.
Shopping and errands
The supermarkets around the crossroads draw shoppers from across the area, and we often take people home with their weekly shop. For a day of errands, or appointments with waiting time, hiring a car with a driver by the hour can work out simpler than booking separate fares.
Journeys further afield
From North Cheam, the A24 leads north to central London and south towards Epsom, and the A3 is close by for the M25 and Heathrow. Gatwick is also usually within an hour. For London terminals, see our station transfers.
