Why we ask about pets
Not every driver can carry animals. Some have allergies, and some cars are too small for a large dog. When you mention your pet at booking, we send a driver who's happy to take animals, in a car with enough room. No awkward conversations at the kerb, and no refused journeys.
What to tell us
- What kind of animal it is, and roughly how big
- Whether it travels in a carrier, crate or on a lead
- Whether more than one animal is coming
- Any travel sickness, nerves or medical conditions
Parks worth the trip
Morden is surrounded by great places to walk a dog: Morden Hall Park and Morden Park on our doorstep, Mitcham Common to the east, Rosehill Park to the south, and Wimbledon Common a short drive north-west. We'll take you and your dog there and collect you afterwards.
Keeping everyone comfortable
Cats and small animals should travel in a secure carrier. Dogs can travel on a lead, with a blanket or travel mat to protect the seats. A short walk before a longer journey helps nervous dogs settle.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are always welcome, at no extra charge. Under the Equality Act 2010, licensed private hire drivers must carry assistance dogs unless they hold a medical exemption certificate.
