Why most Morden flyers take a car to Heathrow
By public transport, Morden to Heathrow is surprisingly awkward. You'd take the Northern line into central London, change at least once to reach the Piccadilly or Elizabeth line, then ride all the way back out west. With luggage, that's well over an hour of stairs and platforms. A car takes you straight across south-west London to the terminal door, usually in 40 to 55 minutes.
The route and the timing
Heathrow is about 15 miles from Morden. Most journeys head west on the A3 or through Kingston before joining the M25 or approaching the airport from the south. Weekday mornings and Friday afternoons are the slowest times. As a guide, aim to be at the terminal three hours before a long-haul flight and two hours before a short-haul one, then add the drive time and a margin for traffic.
Heathrow's four terminals
- Terminals 2 and 3 share the central area of the airport.
- Terminal 4 is on the southern side, separate from the others.
- Terminal 5 is at the western end and mainly used by British Airways.
Check your booking for the right terminal before you travel, and tell us when you book. Driving to the wrong one can cost you twenty minutes.
Meet and greet on the way home
Book with your flight number, and we'll time the pickup to your actual landing rather than the scheduled time. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, helps with your bags and takes you straight home to Morden, Merton or wherever you live in our area.

Heathrow charges vehicles to drop off at the terminal forecourts, and parking charges apply for meet and greet pickups. Ask us how these are handled in your fare when you book.
