Where Merton meets Wimbledon
South Wimbledon grew up around the junction of Merton High Street, Kingston Road and Morden Road, with its Northern line station on the corner. It's actually in Merton rather than Wimbledon proper, and it's a lively mix of terraced streets, local shops and takeaways.
Our base on Martin Way is about a mile and a half away, so a car can usually reach you in 7 to 10 minutes.
The Tube and beyond
South Wimbledon station is on the Morden branch of the Northern line, two stops from the end. For most trips into central London, the Tube is the obvious choice. We fill in the journeys it doesn't cover well:
- Cross-country trips to Sutton, Mitcham or New Malden, where you'd otherwise need two buses.
- Hospital visits to St George's in Tooting or St Helier.
- Airport runs, when a suitcase and the Tube don't mix.
Merton Abbey Mills and the Wandle
A short walk east is Merton Abbey Mills, with its weekend market and riverside pubs beside the River Wandle, on the site of the former Liberty print works. We collect from there, and from the retail parks along Merantun Way, as often as from homes in the area.
Airports from South Wimbledon
From here, Heathrow is usually 40 to 55 minutes away, and Gatwick is often just as quick, heading south via the A217 and the M25. Book with your flight number, and we'll time your pickup to your actual landing.
