An old town with a long history
Mitcham is one of the oldest settlements in south London. Its cricket green is said to be one of the oldest cricket grounds in the world still in use, and Fair Green, in the town centre, has hosted Mitcham Fair for centuries. Today the town centre around Fair Green and London Road is busy with shops and markets, and the tram runs straight through it.
Getting across Mitcham
Mitcham is spread out, and journeys across it can be awkward by public transport. The tram runs east to west, and trains leave from Mitcham Junction and Mitcham Eastfields, but getting from one side to the other often means a change. We're booked for journeys like these every day:

Mitcham Common
Mitcham Common is a large area of open grassland, woodland and ponds on the eastern side of the town, popular for walks and dog walking. Our pet-friendly taxis can take you and your dog there and back.
Flying from Mitcham
From Mitcham, Gatwick is often the most convenient airport, reached by heading south through Sutton towards the M25 and M23. Heathrow is usually within an hour too. Book with your flight number for meet and greet on your return.
